Select Board · Meeting of January 13, 2026

Buckland's Select Board approved rec fee hikes and conditionally cleared rail-tie staging on town land. The board voted unanimously to raise swim instructor pay from $24 to $25 an hour and pool attendant pay to $16.50, while pavilion rentals rise from $200 to $250 for residents, $300 for non-residents. Town Administrator Pamela Guyette said November testing found PFAS in transfer-station monitoring wells, triggering a required DEP notification.

The board also raised the Conservation Commission's application fee from $100 to $200 and conditionally approved letting Northern Rail Services, represented by Kevin Clark, stage up to 8,000 railroad ties in the Depot Street lot pending insurance paperwork. The pool ended its season with a $1,961 profit on $55,411 in revenue.
