Select Board · Meeting of July 28, 2026

Buckland Select Board warned that a $236.6 million Franklin County Technical School building project could cost the town about $211,000 a year for 30 years. Select Board member Larry Langford said "the problem is we can't afford it, pure and simple," ahead of an October 6 vote by the district's 19 member towns, and the board agreed to hold an informational public forum in September. Separately, the board approved a $171,128 state grant for a new dirt-road maintenance tractor, moved toward formalizing Monday afternoon closures at Town Hall, and revived a nearly decade-old request from resident Justin Bardwell to buy 1.5 acres of town land near the highway garage.

The board also approved a one-day liquor license for Zach Livingston tied to the Bridge of Flowers Road Race and signed off on a utility easement for resident Tara Mason's new leach field on Rand Road.
